Robert Sturms Biography
Hi, I'm Robert Sturms, a 3rd generation Denver native. I was raised in South East Denver close to Observatory Park. I graduated from Denver Lutheran High School. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting / Business from Metropolitan State College of Denver.
I currently live in Wheat Ridge, Colorado with my wife and 3 daughters. My free time is mainly spent with my family. Sports and movies are a source of enjoyment for me.
I started providing real estate loans in 1993. I received my degree in Accounting and began working for a HOA management company. I purchased my first rental property in 1987. While growing up, my parents had rental properties and I thought it was a good idea to invest in real estate. My mother worked for Capital Federal Savings and Loan in the construction department. Having been around real estate and lending for a good portion of my childhood, I found that I really wanted to combine my skills in finance with my interest in real estate. After earning a real estate license in 1990, I sold real estate part time while working for the company that managed the associations for condominiums.
I spent my first 12 months in the mortgage business working for a local bank as a loan officer. I went to work for a mortgage broker for another 12 months and decided to open my own mortgage broker business. After a year on my own, I decided to form a partnership with another broker. We worked together for 11 years.
I now work for Catalyst Lending. Catalyst Lending has many investors to choose from. They are a locally owned and operated company with an in house underwriting and closing department. We offer a full range of FHA products. These products are so very important in this current mortgage climate.
